"I am writing the story that will never end in my heart."
One week to go!
안녕하세요!

As most of you know, I'll be leaving for Seoul pretty soon; this upcoming Sunday to be exact! On the 26th, I'll be stepping on a plane in Düsseldorf, fly to Abu Dhabi and get onto another plane to Seoul, there. And on the 27th, I'll arrive at Incheon Airport to be picked up by someone from the HI-Club (this is some student club for international students!) with probably a fancy sign with my name or what not on it!

Anyhow, I'll be attending Sungkyunkwan University in Seoul for four months. Yes, my dear kpop friends, you can fangirl/boy over the name. (Yay for Yoochun's drama I still haven't watched!) I'll be following a few psychology courses, but I will also be conducting my very own research! Although, I'm not very far with the set-up. I will do this research with my fellow student and friend Janou, who will be studying in Glasgow, Scotland. She will do her parts there and vice versa. This Wednesday, we have a meeting with someone who might want to be our supervisor! We've been spamming professors for weeks, but without results. If this one finally agrees to be our supervisor and can help us, we can finally start with our set-up as well.

Next to all the preparing for the research and all, I have to prepare myself to actually live there. Meaning: I have to pack my suitcase. All I have now are my medicine and most documents in my suitcase. Yes, I love doing everything last minute. I blame the weather. It's too hot to do anything. As soon as I move, I sweat. But we all know, I'm just really lazy.

At least I got half of the Korean alphabet down! That's something!

I'm really excited, but also quite scared for this wonderful adventure. I'll try to update as much as possible to map my experiences in Seoul (hey hey hey, map the seoul! It's actually from a Epik High song 'Map the Soul'. It's in the sidebar if you're interested.) and hopefully you will have some entertainment from reading my future entries.

Oh, one last thing: I'm writing this blog in English seeing as I have some non-Dutch friends who want to know how I'll be doing in Seoul so.. that's why.

Panda OUT!

Anastacia, 20. I'm attending Sungkyunkwan University in Seoul, South Korea, for a few psychology classes and I'll also be conducting my own research for my bachelor thesis. I'll be residing there from end of August till end of December 2012.

Call me Panda. That's what my college friends do.
